It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of 计算机科学 and Engineering (CSE) at 十大菠菜台子.

CSE is home to more than 900 students as we are the largest department at 十大菠菜台子. We offer 教唆-accredited 5-year BS degrees in 计算机科学 and 信息技术, producing graduates who have gone on to great success in industry and academia. Our MS programs in 计算机科学, Software Engineering and 信息技术, and 网络安全 are designed to serve the needs of our students targeting multiple career paths in both academia and industry. Ph值.D. program in 计算机科学 and 信息学 allows students to work with CSE faculty members to expand their knowledge in a variety of CSE areas. 在一起, these programs offer our students at all levels the opportunity to engage in research, 从实践经验中学习, and depth of study within the discipline, alongside dedicated faculty and a strong team of student-centered advisors and staff. Our faculty are dedicated to teaching and providing an engaging, 严格的, and welcoming classroom environment.

The department is also privileged to work with a large network of alumni and an advisory board that includes members from leading technical companies, including the local industry. This enables us to maintain a relevant curriculum and strong network for our new graduates, leading to a high job placement rate. Our research profile is also strong and growing (tripled in 2022), with several million dollars of grants awarded recently and several new tenure-track faculty with excellent research profiles. 最近, the CSE department was ranked the second largest department at OU in terms of research expenditure.
